Seal Bay guided tour – a truly wild encounter
Step into the world of the endangered Australian sea lion on this unforgettable 45-minute guided walking tour. You’ll follow a gently bituminised path and a boardwalk bridge through the stunning dune system, leading you right to the beach. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline and the sea lion colony, and if you're lucky, you might spot sea lions snoozing in the dunes or lounging on the path.
No cages or enclosures, just nature at its best. Seal Bay is home to one of the world’s rarest marine mammals, and this tour takes you right into the heart of their wild colony. Our passionate and knowledgeable guides will share fascinating insights into sea lion behaviour; how they hunt, surf, rest, interact, and protect their territory.
Each tour is unique. Our guides don’t follow a script; they interpret what’s happening in the colony in real time, making each tour a one-of-a-kind experience. You’ll always be kept at a safe and respectful distance (10–15 metres), ensuring the sea lions feel comfortable and undisturbed.
Your guided tour also includes access to the self-guided boardwalk, so you can explore even more of Seal Bay at your own pace.
